📖How to shorten long testimonials with "Read More" (and change the Read More text)

Cut long testimonials short with a "Read More" link, change the Read More and Read Less wording, or show every testimonial in full.

Long testimonials can make one card much taller than the rest. Shorten Long Text Content cuts them after about 300 characters and adds a Read More link, so visitors can open the full text if they want to.

Steps

1. Open your wall and click Testimonial Widget (or Wall of Fame Page).

2. Open the Testimonial Card Customization panel (called Testimonial Cards Customization on the Wall of Fame page).

3. Under Appearance, turn on Shorten Long Text Content.

4. Change Read More Text and Read Less Text if you want different wording, for example in another language.

5. Save your changes.

Turn Shorten Long Text Content off and save.

Good to know

• The widget and the Wall of Fame page have separate settings, so set it in both if you use both.

• When you switch the widget layout to Carousel, shortening switches on automatically. You can turn it off again.

• In a carousel with Normalize Carousel Height on, text is always shortened so every card fits the same height.

• If you leave the Read More or Read Less box empty, the default wording is used.

• With automatic translation on, your Read More and Read Less wording is translated for visitors too.
