# How to add an AI summary of your testimonials (and keep it up to date)

Add an AI-written summary of what customers say, with key highlights, above your widget or Wall of Fame page, and refresh it when you get new testimonials.

The AI Review Summary reads your testimonials and writes a short overview of what customers love, plus four key highlights. It sits above your testimonials, so visitors get the gist before they start reading.

## Add it to your widget

1. Open your wall and click **Testimonial Widget**.
2. Open the **Widget Settings** panel and find **AI Review Summary**.
3. Turn on **Enable AI Review Summary Overview on Widgets**. Wait while the summary is written; it can take up to a minute.
4. Check the summary in the preview. If your widget sits on a dark background, also turn on **Use dark mode styling for AI summary**.
5. Click **Save Widget Changes**. The summary only goes live after you save.

## Add it to your Wall of Fame page

Open **Wall of Fame Page** → **Wall Display Settings** → **AI Review Summary**, turn on **Enable AI review summary on the Wall of Fame page**, and save. The Wall of Fame page and the widget each have their own summary.

## Refresh the summary

The summary is written once, when you turn it on. It doesn't change by itself when new testimonials arrive. To write a fresh one:

1. Turn the AI Review Summary switch off.
2. Turn it on again and wait for the new summary.
3. Save.

## What goes into the summary

* It's based on the text of all your written testimonials on that wall, and it focuses on the positives.
* Video testimonials without text aren't included. A wall with only video testimonials can't get a summary.
* The summary is under 80 words, written about your business, and comes with four short highlights.

## Good to know

* The summary block always shows five stars as decoration. For your real average rating, use the review banner. See [How the average rating banner works](/testimonial-widget-settings/review-banner-average-rating.md).
* With automatic translation on, the summary and highlights are translated for visitors. The "AI Review Summary" heading stays in English.
* If the summary can't be written, for example because there isn't enough text yet, the switch turns itself off and Famewall shows a message.
