# How automatic translation works on your widget, Wall of Fame page and collection page

Show your testimonial widget, Wall of Fame page and collection page in each visitor's own language, based on their browser settings. What gets translated, and what to watch out for.

Famewall can translate your testimonials and page text into other languages automatically. Visitors whose browser is set to one of your chosen languages see the translated version; everyone else sees your original text.

{% hint style="info" %}
Automatic translation needs a paid plan. It's set up separately for the widget, the Wall of Fame page and the collection page, so turn it on in each place you need it.
{% endhint %}

## Steps

1. Open your wall and click **Testimonial Widget**, **Wall of Fame Page** or **Collection Page**.
2. Open the **Automatic Language Translation** panel.
3. Turn on the translation switch.
4. Click **Add Language**, pick a language in **Select the language** and click **Save Language**. Repeat for each language you want.

Translations are created in the background and appear within a few minutes. There are 59 languages to choose from.

## How visitors see it

Famewall checks the language set in each visitor's browser. If it matches one of your languages, the visitor sees that translation. There's no language switcher on the page, so visitors can't pick a language themselves.

## What gets translated

* **Widget:** testimonials, category names, the Read More, Read Less and Load More labels, the review banner text, the AI review summary and the popup call-to-action text.
* **Wall of Fame page:** the same as the widget, plus your wall name and description, button texts, the bottom call-to-action section and the page title.
* **Collection page:** your titles, messages, questions, field labels and button texts.

A few things stay in your original language: dates, "Made with Famewall", menu link titles on the Wall of Fame page, discount code texts, and link previews on social media.

## Good to know

* **Adding or removing a language saves right away**, together with any other changes you haven't saved yet in that tab.
* **Turning translation off and saving deletes all your languages and their translations.** There's no pause option; if you turn it back on later, add your languages again.
* When you edit text later and save, your languages are translated again automatically.
* Testimonials are translated once and shared between the widget and the Wall of Fame page of the same wall.
