🎬How to add a short text summary under a video testimonial

Show a short quote under a video or audio testimonial so visitors get the point before they press play. Famewall can write it for you from the video's subtitles.

A one-line summary under a video testimonial, like "Maya helped me hire my first account lead", tells visitors what the video is about before they watch. Famewall can write it for you with AI, or you can type your own.

Automatic summaries

When Famewall creates subtitles for a video automatically, it also writes a short summary from what the customer says. This happens for videos you upload from the dashboard, videos you trim, and videos where you click Autogenerate Caption. The summary appears in italics under the video.

Generate a summary for a video that doesn't have one

  1. Make sure the video has subtitles. For videos collected on your collection page, click Subtitle under the video, then Autogenerate Caption. See Subtitles for Video testimonial.

  2. Reload the page.

  3. Click Generate video summary under the video.

Write or change the summary yourself

  1. Click Edit under the video testimonial.

  2. Type your text in Video Summary. If the video has subtitles but no summary yet, you'll see a ✨ Generate video summary with AI button there instead.

  3. Click Save Testimonial.

Only the first 30 words are shown, so keep it short.

Audio testimonials

Audio testimonials get a summary automatically. If one is missing, click Generate audio summary under the audio testimonial.

Good to know

  • AI summaries are written in the first person, as if the customer is speaking, in under 30 words.

  • Generate video summary only appears when the video has subtitles and no summary yet. If you've just added subtitles, reload the page to see it.

  • Subtitles, and so summaries, are generated in English.
