🖋️How to change a testimonial's name, photo, job title, rating, date or link

Change the customer's name, photo, job title, star rating, date or link on a testimonial, or add an image under the text.

You can edit every detail of a testimonial on your wall, not just the text. That's handy when a customer has a new job title, sent a better photo, or you want to add a link to their website.

Steps

  1. Open your wall. My Testimonials opens by default.

  2. Click Edit under the testimonial.

  3. Change any of these fields:

    • Name

    • Avatar: click Select Avatar Picture to upload a new photo (PNG, JPG or WEBP, up to 10 MB).

    • Work Title, for example "CEO at Acme".

    • Testimonial: the text itself.

    • Image: add a picture under the text, such as a screenshot or a product photo.

    • Rating: click a star to change it, or Clear to remove the rating.

    • Date

    • Personal/Social Link: the customer's website or profile. Their name and photo link to it in your widget.

  4. Save your changes.

Different types of testimonials have different fields

  • Screenshot or picture testimonials: you can change the caption, the picture and the date.

  • Video and audio testimonials: you can change the name, work title, summary text, date and link. To change the video itself, see Trimming a video testimonial.

  • YouTube, TikTok and Loom videos: these can't be edited.

Good to know

  • When you edit a testimonial imported from LinkedIn or YouTube, the Date field may show today's date. Set the original date again before saving, or the date on the card changes.

  • If the text box shows tags like and , those are your highlights. Leave them in to keep the highlight; delete them to remove it.

  • Edits change the testimonial everywhere it's shown: your widget, your Wall of Fame page and any shared links.

  • Editing a testimonial on your wall doesn't change the original submission in Collected Testimonials.
