βοΈKit Integration
Ask your Kit subscribers for testimonials, and show the ones you already have inside your Kit emails. No code, about five minutes.
Famewall connects to Kit (formerly ConvertKit) as an app you install once. After that you get 4 new blocks in the Kit editor:
Ask for a testimonial - turns any email into a testimonial request.
Testimonial - one testimonial as a designed card.
Video or audio testimonial - the thumbnail, a play button and a link to the recording.
Wall of love - a row of customer faces, the count, and a link to your wall.

Your email list is the warmest audience you have, and they are already opening your emails. So the block worth setting up first is Ask for a testimonial.
What you'll need
A Kit account on a paid plan. Kit requires this to install any app.
A Famewall account. Every plan works, including the free one.
At least one wall in Famewall. If it already has published testimonials, the display blocks will have something to show.
Step 1: Install Famewall from the Kit App Store
In Kit, go to Automate β Apps, find Famewall, and click Install.

Step 2: Connect your Famewall account
Kit will send you to a Famewall page that asks you to approve the connection. Sign in if you are not already, then click Connect. You will land back in Kit.
There is nothing to copy or paste. No API key, no token, no wall ID. You approve once, and Kit and Famewall handle the rest. You can disconnect at any time - see the last section.
Step 3: Add a Famewall block to an email
Open a broadcast or a sequence email. Click + to open the element menu β or just type / β and pick the Famewall block you want.

Every block has its settings in the right-hand sidebar, and every block has a Wall or Testimonial field. Leave Wall blank and Famewall uses your most recent wall, so a freshly dropped block already shows something real.

Step 4: Ask for a testimonial
This is the block that grows your testimonial collection. It puts a short request and a button into your email; the button opens your Famewall collection page, where subscribers can leave a written, video or audio testimonial. They do not need an account.
Wall
Which wall the testimonial gets collected into. Blank = your most recent wall.
Wording
Quick ask uses short built-in copy. From my form pulls the exact heading, message, question and placeholder you already wrote on your Famewall collection page. So the email and the page read as one thing.
Style
Button only is compact and drops into any email. Form preview draws your actual form - the prompt, the star row and the field. So people can see what they are being asked for.
Heading / Message / Button label
Your own wording. Anything you type here overrides the wording setting.
Rating prompt / Field placeholder
Only shown in the Form preview style.
Card theme
Light, Dark, or Transparent (lets your email background show through).
Colours
Accent, star, text, card background and border.
A good place for this block is the bottom of an email you were already sending. You do not need a dedicated campaign. a 2 line ask under your usual content converts well because the reader is already engaged.
Step 5: Show a testimonial
The Testimonial block shows one testimonial as a designed card. Search for the one you want in the Testimonial field the search looks across all of your walls.
Card design gives you nine layouts a tightened classic, a centred spotlight, a serif quote plate, a single-line signature bar, a ledger-style note, a magazine pull-quote, a soft gradient, a score-first chip, and an offset block. Switch between them and the block re-renders straight away.
This block works with everything except video and audio: typed testimonials, imported tweets, Google, Trustpilot and G2 reviews, LinkedIn posts and screenshots.
Want three testimonials in a row? Add the block three times. That way you keep control of what sits between them, and each card can have its own design.
Step 6: Show a video or audio testimonial
Video and audio testimonials share one block. You get the video's thumbnail (or a waveform, for audio), a play button, the person's name, a quote from what they said, and a button that opens the full recording.
Video or audio testimonial
Search your video and audio testimonials.
Watch button
Hide removes the button if you have already written your own "watch it here" line. The thumbnail and the play button still link out.
Card theme / Colours
Same options as the other blocks.

Video does not play inside an email. No email tool can do this β email clients strip video players out. The card shows the thumbnail with a play button and opens the recording in the browser when clicked, which is what every well-behaved email does.
Step 7: Show your wall of love
The Wall of love block shows a row of up to six customer faces, how many testimonials you have in total, and a link to your public wall.
Set your own Heading and Link label, or leave them blank for the defaults.

Step 8: Send yourself a test
Before you send to your list, use Kit's test send and open the email on your phone as well as your desktop.
Keeping it up to date
The blocks read live from Famewall.
Approve a new testimonial in your Famewall dashboard or set it to autoapprove.
Then hit the block's refresh in Kit and the new content appears. There is nothing to reinstall, re-copy or re-upload.
Colours work the same way: any colour you have not set in Kit is filled in from your wall's branding, so a wall with a brand color arrives in Kit already on-brand.
What works where
In an email, Kit strips out scripts, iframes, video players and form fields as every email tool does, for security.
So the Famewall blocks are built as plain email-safe HTML. They arrive intact, reflow on a phone, stay readable when images are blocked, and are real selectable text rather than a screenshot.
On a landing page or form, none of that applies, because Kit lets you run scripts there. That is where the full interactive widget goes, and where video plays in place.
Troubleshooting
"Reconnect your Famewall account"
The connection was disconnected or expired. Go to Automate β Apps in Kit, open Famewall, and connect again.
The block says there are no testimonials yet
The wall it points at has no published testimonials. Publish some in Famewall, or pick a different wall in the block's Wall field.
A testimonial I just added isn't showing
Approve it in Famewall first, then refresh the block in Kit.
I can't find my video testimonial in the Testimonial block
Video and audio testimonials have their own block - use Video or audio testimonial.
The block looks blank in the editor
Change any setting to force a re-render. If it is a widget on a landing page instead, publish the page - scripts do not run in the editor.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect from either side:
In Kit - go to Automate β Apps and uninstall Famewall.
In Famewall - open Platform Apps in your dashboard and disconnect Kit.
Disconnecting stops the blocks from loading. It does not delete anything - your testimonials, walls and collection pages are untouched, and reconnecting brings the blocks straight back.
Famewall never reads your Kit subscribers. The integration only sends your own testimonials into Kit. We do not call Kit's API, and we do not see, store or export your list.
