📡How to get Slack or Discord notifications for new testimonials
Get a message in a Slack or Discord channel when a customer submits a testimonial or when one is added to your wall.
Instead of (or as well as) email, Famewall can post a message to a Slack or Discord channel whenever a new testimonial comes in. It's a nice way to share good news with your team.
Connect Slack
Click Integrations in the sidebar of your dashboard and choose Slack.
Click Add to Slack.
On Slack's screen, choose your workspace and the channel for the notifications, and allow access.
Back in Famewall, you'll see "Slack connected!" and a welcome message appears in your channel.

If you'd rather use a Slack incoming webhook, click paste a webhook URL instead, paste the URL (it starts with https://hooks.slack.com/) and click Connect Slack.
Connect Discord
Click Integrations in the sidebar and choose Discord.
Click Connect Discord, then pick your server and channel on Discord's screen.
To use a Discord webhook instead, click paste a webhook URL instead, paste the URL (it starts with https://discord.com/api/webhooks/) and click Connect Discord.
Choose which events are posted
Under Notify me when:
Testimonial collected: someone submits a testimonial on your collection page. On by default.
Testimonial approved: a collected testimonial is added to your wall, by you or by auto-approval.
Click Save Slack Settings (or Save Discord Settings) after changing these switches. They don't save on their own.
What the message includes
The customer's name, job title, star rating, the start of their testimonial, their email, their answers to your custom questions, the wall it belongs to and a button to open it in Famewall.
Good to know
Notifications cover testimonials submitted on your collection pages. Imported testimonials and testimonials you add yourself don't send a message.
You can connect one Slack channel and one Discord channel per account. All your walls post to the same channel.
To switch channels, click Disconnect and connect again.
Prefer a webhook URL? Use paste a webhook URL instead under the connect button.
If your payment is overdue, the message says a testimonial came in but hides the details until your plan is active again.
