💬How to change the question and hint text above the written testimonial box

Change the title, the guiding questions and the hint text customers see when they write a text testimonial on your collection page.

When customers click the text button on your collection page, a window opens with a title, a few guiding questions and a text box. You can rewrite all three so customers know exactly what to write about.

Steps

  1. Open your wall and click Collection Page in the left menu.

  2. Open the Text Testimonial Page panel.

  3. Edit these fields:

    • Page Title: the heading at the top of the window.

    • Question to ask customers: the questions shown above the text box. It supports Markdown, so you can use a numbered list. Leave it empty to show no questions.

    • Placeholder text in the input field: the grey hint inside the text box before customers start typing.

  4. Click Save Edit Changes.

Good to know

  • Specific questions get better testimonials. "What changed for you after working with us?" works better than "Tell us what you think".

  • The Page Title is also used as the title of the image upload window, if you accept image testimonials.

  • When the AI Composer is on, customers answer your AI Composer questions instead, and the Question to ask customers and Placeholder fields aren't used. See How to turn on the AI Composer.

  • The questions customers see while recording a video or audio testimonial are set separately. See How to change the questions shown while customers record.
